Wedensday Weigh-in

This week I really feel like I fell into my rhythm. I finally started feeling awesome after my workouts and really dreading it when I couldn't go to the gym. I kept up with my water intake and tried to get my minutes logged working out as best I could. As I've mentioned before, finding more time is not too much of an option for me. I purposefully use the elliptical machine to get the hardest workout I can for the limited time I have. It works for me. In an hour I can get a great 30 min workout (plus 5 min cool down period) on the elliptical that logs me about 3 miles. Then I do 15 min (plus a 3 min cool down) on the treadmill where I get a little over a mile in. That's about all the time I have. I want to start incorporating some weights with this workout, but have to find the time.

Here are the numbers:

Starting weight: 187.2
Last Week: 186.0
his week: 184.0
Total loss: 3.2

Minutes of workout time: 206
Ounces of water: over 500 ounces (I am bad at keeping exact numbers)
NO Fast food (not even for the kids!)

  1. YAY for no fast food (not even for the kids!). Great job this week, Sue. I'm so proud of you for making the most of the time you *do* have when you workout. That is SO important. And I love the feeling of feeling so much better afterwards. It makes it easier to do it the next time for sure.

On the elliptical, to make your workout more challenging, you could do some bursts. Basically you'd crank it all the way up to the highest resistance and go as hard as you can for 1 minute. Do it 6 times during your time on their, and you'll get so much more out of it. I do it when I'm on the treadmill, too :)

    Have an amazing week!

  4. I think a lot of us struggle with finding MORE time. There just aren't enough hours in the day. I was just whining about this to Christy today. I have made a conscious decision to put my exercise/running time FIRST and well, other stuff is falling to the side. I am trying to forgive myself for not being ble to do everything for everyone. Most importantly, I am giving myself a gift when I exercise.
